There are many different kinds of ducks, geese, and swans in the US. In my opinion, they are very independent birds. Have you watched the ducks in any park nearby? They always mind their business unless you have some food for them. In Central PA, every year we have many different species migrating through our area. Canada geese, tundra swans, and snow geese travel approximately 4,000 miles every year from tundra region to lower mid-USA and back. Lancaster, PA is a large layover area for these birds and other migrating species.
